Steel flanges knowledge overview

　　Flange according to its structure form and different pressure can be divided into the following kinds:

　　1. The flat welding flange. Flat welding flange is one of the most commonly used in low pressure process pipes. Flat welding flange is suitable for the nominal pressure is less than 2.5 MPa.

　　2. Butt welding flange. Butt welding flange is also known as the high neck flange. Its strength is big, not easy to deformation, good sealing performance. Butt welding flange is divided into the following form:

　　L) smooth type butt welding flange.

　　2) the concave and convex type seal face butt welding flange.

　　3) grooved seal face butt welding flange.

　　4) trapezoidal groove seal face butt welding flange.

　　3. The nozzle flange flanging activities. Nozzle flange flanging activity, multi-purpose steel, aluminum and other non-ferrous metal and stainless steel pipe, its advantage is can save precious metal, and because the flange can free activities, flange wear when the screw is very convenient, defect is unable to bear greater pressure. Suitable for pipe connection under 0.6 MPa.

　　4. Welding flange ring activity. Welding ring flange used for pipe wall more thick stainless steel tube, and not easy to flanging of non-ferrous metal pipeline flange connection. The sealing surface is smooth and mortise type two kinds.
